Details

For centuries Piccadilly and its environs have been at the heart of London pleasure seeking. We'll be talking about a fraction of the interesting people and events which have been hosted in what was for a long time regarded as the centre of the world.

We'll be parading General Tom Thumb, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, meeting Sherlock, the quest for unstewed tea, the Duke of Wellington, tapeworms as entertainment, 'Snakehips' Johnson, food for Mount Everest and the slogan 'We never closed' plus much else!

Led by Mike there will be a modest charge of £6 =-CASH PLEASE no cards - for attending this enlightening and enviable exploit and we'll then go for refreshments which don't cost the earth as is our popular and famous custom. All at your own monstrous risk of course.

We meet at Hyde Park Corner tube exit (north side by Apsley House) at 1.30 pm on Sunday May 11.
