Details

It's 2023! Alien balloons are invading the USA, ChatGPT is taking over the world but most importantly, we're back!

This month we'll be back at Uncommon Liverpool Street where we celebrated Demuxed 2021 (if anyone remembers that far back!).

Doors will be open for drinks and pizza from 18:30, talks will start at 19:00.

As always there will be 🍻, πŸ•, and πŸ“Ό!

Speakers:

Kieran Kunhya - Founder & CEO, Open Broadcast Systems

AVX-512 assembly language in FFmpeg

AVX512 assembly instructions are now available on many CPUs and can offer substantial improvements for some workloads. Whilst the dav1d AV1 decoder project has had AVX512 assembly for some time, it is only recently that FFmpeg has some. This presentation will explain current and future AVX512 assembly optimisations in FFmpeg.

Brenton Ough - CEO & Co-Founder, Touchstream

What's in your data?

Until very recently collecting real-time CDN logs has not been possible, but even now that it is, the bigger problem is what to do with this vast amount of data.

In this talk we take a look at how to enrich CDN log data, summarise and extract nuggets of valuable information to pinpoint issues between CDN edge nodes and ASNs.
