What we’re about
Vocal Flow Sessions - Sing, Flow, Connect
Welcome to Vocal Flow Sessions, a community for anyone and everyone who wants to sing, explore their voice, and connect through sound.
Our sessions are all about using the voice as an instrument for presence, play and connection. We created musical soundscapes together - think of it like a jam session made entirely of voices, rhythm and magical soul energy.
Whether you're a musician, artist or just singing-curious, you're in safe hands. You don't need to identify as "a singer" to join in, just bring your curiosity, your voice and a willingness to explore.
Each session weaves elements of soul-expanding music-making, with mindfulness and community. Expect to be taken on a sonic journey of luscious sounds, rhythm, harmony, connection and joy.
Led by Michelle Nova, artist, dj and experienced vocal coach, Vocal Flow Sessions has been running in London for seven years and continues to grow as a space for authentic expression and creative freedom.
Come as you are, No experienced needed - just your voice.

Vocal Flow Sessions
St Margarets House , 21 Old Ford Road, Bethnal Green, London E2 9PL, London, GBThe voice is a wildly underrated tool for tapping into presence, joy, pleasure, beauty, play, and connection—with ourselves and with others. This is what Vocal Flow Sessions is all about.
Together, we sing in a non-performative, playful way to create vocal flows: musical soundscapes made only with the voice and hand percussion. Everything is created in the moment, an experience of the energy and the people in the room.
Your facilitator, Michelle Nova, will gently and gradually guide you into a space where you feel comfortable improvising, offering frameworks that make it easy to explore your voice in new ways. Think of it like a jamming session—but with voices instead of instruments. You’ll be held in a safe, supportive container where you can use your voice as an instrument, dance with it, and play with it, and groove with it. It's so much fun! We'll be joined by a live percussionist.
This workshop weaves in elements of mindfulness and meditation, it's very much about using your voice to connect to the present moment. It’s less about performance, and more about the joy of basking in group singing. Most importantly: it’s for everyone. You don’t need any experience to join.
Please note, this event is being filmed for content creation so we can spread the word about Vocal Flow and help it to grow.
About our leader
Hi, I’m Michelle Nova. I’m an artist, DJ, and facilitator based in London. I make alternative-pop music, perform, record, and DJ a mixture of House, Disco & all sorts of electronic dance music around the city.
I’ve been teaching singing for over 10 years—working both one-to-one and with groups—and I’ve been running Vocal Flow Sessions for the past seven. I’m passionate about creating spaces where voices can be used in non-performative, playful ways, and I’ve loved group singing for as long as I can remember.I started Vocal Flow Sessions because I wanted to create a space where people could come together to sing joyfully, in a pleasure-centred way, without the formality or commitment of a weekly choir—but with the same sense of connection and community at its heart.
Please head over to Ticket Tailor to secure your spot by purchasing a ticket via this link. If the discount code would be helpful or finances are a barrier to joining, please direct message me and we can sort something out :).
Questions
Do I need experience singing in front of people?
Absolutely not. We’ll only ever be singing together as a group. It’s all about the feeling of singing, not about how you sound.I’m worried I’m not a “good” singer. Do I need to be good to join in?
Not at all. You just need your voice, and that’s more than enough. This is about the feeling of singing and the connection with others in the room. Please don’t let worries about not being “good enough” stop you—it would be such a shame to miss out. Will I have to sing alone?
Nope, never.I’ve never improvised before. Can I still join?
Yes! I’ll guide you step by step into improvisation. You don’t need any prior experience.I don’t have much singing experience—just in the car or shower—but I’m curious. Can I still join?
Yes, yes, yes! This is truly for all abilities, and no prior singing experience is neededPlease arrive to the event 10-15 minutes before 6pm to settle in so we can start on time :). Any questions, email us!
