For the first meeting in February, we will discuss Rachel Joyce's 2012 novel, The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry. The book quickly became a best-seller and has since been adapted into a film and a stage musical. 'One of the sweetest, most delicately-written stories I've read in a long time. One man's walk along the length of England to save the life of a dying woman... Philosophical, intriguing, and profoundly moving.' (Foyles)

'Joyce's uplifting bestseller about an ordinary man's extraordinary odyssey from one end of the country to the other has been taken to the nation's hearts.'

We will hold the meeting at Barbie Green near the Barbican. Some come along for some tasty brunch food as we delve into this heartwarming story.

N.B. We will be charging an event fee of £3, non-refundable, to discourage no-shows and contribute to the running costs of the group. Please only sign up if you intend to come along as space is limited to make for an effective discussion!
