June Meeting 2 - The Echo Chamber (John Boyne)
Details
For June's second meeting, we will discuss John Boyne's 2021 novel, The Echo Chamber. 'Powered by John Boyne’s characteristic humour and razor-sharp observation, The Echo Chamber is a satirical helter skelter, a dizzying downward spiral of action and consequence, poised somewhere between farce, absurdity and oblivion. To err is maybe to be human but to really foul things up you only need a phone.' (Book jacket)
'Following the privileged Cleverly family as they navigate the jungle of modern living, The Echo Chamber is a deliciously constructed story about reputation and presumption from the bestselling author of The Heart’s Invisible Furies.'

The meeting will be held at Wildwood Seven Dials (make sure you come to the correct one, near the top end of Shaftesbury Avenue). So join us for some tasty Italian food as we dive into this sumptuous novel.
N.B. We will be charging an event fee of £3, non-refundable, to discourage no-shows and contribute to the running costs of the group. Please only sign up if you intend to come along as space is limited to make for an effective discussion!
