Reasons to try footgolf

Regardless of ability, or experience. Whether you prefer solitary sports, or team games, footgolf is great fun and a good challenge for all ages and abilities.

The rules are similar to golf, but rather than hitting a golf ball you count how many times you kick the football to get it in the holes and the lowest score wins. If you’re a stickler for rules, or want to compete, then there are some more specific rules to adhere to, but that’s the basic starting point.

You just need a football and yourself to play, so no expensive equipment. You are playing against the course, so can play alone, or with friends/family. Your challenge is to then beat your own score to improve your game each time (and to beat your friends or family too!).

The time it takes depends on group size, but if you play on your own you would complete 18 holes in around an hour. A small group would take around 90mins to 2 hours.

Footgolf is great for physical and mental health. Depending on your pace and accuracy you would complete around 10,000 steps and burn up to 1000 calories whilst having fun out in the open air.

The sport is low impact, so if you are no longer able to play other sports competitively, you may still be able to successfully play in competition if that interests you.

If you have children you can bring them with you to play. It is a great sport for the whole family to enjoy.

So whether you just want to come along and have a giggle and try and beat your friends and family for a social, or whether you are interested in getting into competitive playing, we would love to welcome you at London Footgolf Centre.
