✍️ - From Projects to Products - the good, the bad, and the ugly
Highrise Digital, for a long time was a WordPress website agency, building websites using WordPress for a wide-variety of clients. More recently, in the last couple of years the website builds have declined and they have moved to selling products, giving a recurring revenue.

In this talk, Mark will look at the reasons for the move, the advantages it has brought, as well as looking some of the downsides to moving from building projects, to selling a product.

Mark is a WordPress developer and business owner at Highrise Digital. He lives with his family in northern England, in a small town called Leyland.

He is the author of JobRelay, a WordPress SaaS product for recruitment companies. In addition to this, he helps build WordPress job board using his RecPress product and recruitment websites using WordPress.

Mark loves sharing knowledge in the WordPress space, which probably comes from his former role of being a teacher. He taught 11 - 16 year old students for over 12 years teaching Geography, ICT and Computing.

Away from his computer, Mark enjoys running around Leyland as well as spending lots of time on the golf course.
