✍️ - How personalisation can drive conversion and increase revenue
Personalization is the process of knowing the needs, preferences, and interests of your current and prospective customers so that you can serve them exactly what they’re looking for when they’re looking for it. By understanding their needs, through their behaviour, we can drive increased conversion and revenue.

This talk will cover the basics of what personalization is, how you can understand your visitors better, what segmentation is, common tactics for increasing conversion, being ethical with the data you collect, and how you can gain a competitive advantage.

As a founder and CTO of Filter and PersonalizeWP, Paul has been solving digital challenges for ambitious organizations for over seven years. He has a passion for creating elegant and simple solutions that deliver change effectively and with minimal fuss.

At Filter, he works with clients such as JD Wetherspoon, Medivet, Alter Domus, and Home Protect on projects ranging from employee engagement to multilingual content management, membership sites, and e-commerce. PersonalizeWP is a plugin designed to be the easiest way to personalize content on your WordPress website using the Block Editor. It offers features such as visitor profiles, segmentation, lead scoring, and custom personalization rules.

Paul is also an advisor at the Inside Out Community, where he provides knowledge, experience, and advice to in-house creative leaders from a digital standpoint.

✍️ - Help! I don't know where to even start for my landing page design!
Do you suffer from blank canvas syndrome when starting a new website design or landing page? I certainly do - or at least I did until I discovered some basic fundamentals around mixing design, copywriting, UX and persuasive sales strategies.

In less than 30 minutes I'll walk you through a landing page structure inspired by frameworks such as Storybrand, PAS (problem, agitation, solution) and other proven systems that work as a fantastic and simple starting point for almost any conversion-focused web page.

Paul Lacey is a designer and consultant who helps niche agencies and leading WordPress / tech-industry brands design and develop beautiful and effective websites. Brands he has worked with include GeneratePress, Beaver Builder, Pentagram, Getronics, Disney, and the Church of England.

Outside of professional life, Paul enjoys indoor rock climbing, learning to play guitar, playing PC video games, and spending time with his lovely wife, two awesome kids, and 15 rescue animals.
