Our September meetup will start with a brief talk by Paul on "why the Sherman was the best tank of the war"
Join us for our September meetup where I will give a brief talk at the beginning of the evening on why I think the Sherman was the best tank of World War Two.
Often dismissed as a mechanical underdog, the M4 Sherman has long been caricatured as the Allies’ inadequate answer to German armor. But my talk will challenge that narrative head-on.
We'll explore how the Sherman wasn’t a failure—it was a triumph of strategic design. The Sherman delivered precisely what the Allies needed to win a global war.
This session reframes the tank not as a flawed weapon, but as a misunderstood cornerstone of victory. Prepare to rethink everything you thought you knew about the Sherman.
