Controversy Corner and Article Analysis

Controversy corner (1hr approx)
- Each person gets 2-3 minutes to present a 'controversial opinion'/hot take to the group and is challenged to defend it by the listeners

• Speakers can bring their own topics to be proposed in advance (light
  moderation/review necessary to prevent discriminatory/incitement to hatred views) or select from a range of broad topics/talking points
• Structured discussion with host moderation and note-taking of key discussion points

Current affairs/articles discussion (1hr approx)
- Two themes e.g AI/globalisation/healthcare, with two articles each, and a set of talking points from the article to structure discussions
- Attendees divide into small groups and choose the theme that interests them or discuss collectively as one group depending on numbers

At the end of the meetup we all come together and each share one thought from someone else that they found interesting.
