You might not have realized this, but you and I are all living in a 'bubble' of our own. Quite separately from all other ‘bubbles’ that harbour other people.
From inside this bubble we all observe the world around us and judge it through very privately adjusted filters. That’s why some of us have a different opinion about the same things they observe as others: the filters through which the ‘same things’ arrive into your bubble are ‘filtered’ differently. That’s also why some of us feel good most of the time, where others feel unhappy, angry or fearful. We’ve come to think that this is because of the world we observe, the ‘reality’ we are confronted with.
No, the reality is always there - outside our bubble. How would it be if we could perceive mostly those ‘reality-parts’ that evoke good feelings? How could we learn to manage our mood so that we no longer feel the need to change the ‘conditions’ outside of you(r bubble)? So that we no longer assume that we would be happy if… people around us change their behavior, our circumstances were different etc. etc. So that we no longer feel victims of reality and thus feel the need to complain and hold useless grudges.
I myself wouldn’t have an answer to that, if it weren’t for the lessons of 3 brilliant men: the founders of NLP (just to honor them I will give you their names: John Grinder, Richard Bandler and Frank Pucelik). I trained in- and extensively with all of them in person to get their insights and teachings first hand.
