Exciting times, not only is it nearly Halloween but we have another London Gophers event on the cards. So don't be scared of no Gopher, grab yourself a ticket and join us for some amazing talks.

▶︎ Mike Munday (@MikeMunday) - Can I Go Faster?

In this talk Michael will explain how the Go compiler optimises your code and then demonstrate how to add a simple optimisation of your own to the Go compiler. We highly recommend watching https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTMvKVma5ms beforehand for some background knowledge!

▶︎ Chad Petersen - Scaling a cryptocurrency exchange using microservices

Chad explores some hard-learnt best practices for transforming an application into micro services with Go. He'll share his team's project structure and design patterns that enabled them to create a product that allowed Luno to scale from 0 to 2 million customers.

▶︎ Paul Bellamy (@pyrhho) - Testing the Database: with Interfaces & Build Tags

Interfaces guide our code structure and allow multiple implementations, but most people don't know that `go test` supports custom build tags. By combining these Go features, we get end-to-end testing almost for free. Paul will walk through a small application showing how to make your tests faster and more realistic.
