==== πŸ““ AgendaπŸ““ =====

6:30 - 7:00pm: Arrival, Food & Refreshments

7:00pm: Talks Start

πŸ—£ Ashley Jeffs - Sometimes the Package is Dumb

Iβ€˜ve picked the dumbest package within the Benthos (https://github.com/benthosdev/benthos) codebase, it’s basically just three contexts abstracted behind a few methods. I think its reason for existing is an interesting exploration of cancellation and shutdown concepts, the context package, and determining when a package is worth using in place of good old fashioned copy/pasted code.

⚑ Martin Eskdale Moen - Not your grandmother's VPN

but a magical networking tool for developers. It effortlessly weaves through NATs with WireGuardβ„’, making secure connections as easy as pie.

β˜• Break πŸ₯

πŸ—£ Ray Yang - One Thing You Might Overlook When Reading Response Body in Golang

The topic is about a pitfall to handle reading http response body and how I found the bug and resolve it. I thought share it as there might be someone like me feel a bit confuse by the definition of `io.EOF` error and hope they can save a lot of time on debugging.

~8:30 - 9:00pm: Closing and Head to the Pub

==== πŸ’‘ Priority Queue πŸ’‘ =====

We now reserve 20% of the attendee spots at our events for those who are underrepresented in tech.

If they join the waitlist and there is a reserved spot open they will be bumped into going!

These spots are reversed until the last Sunday before the event.

How do we define underrepresented? We use public surveys done by the tech community such as the ones linked below.
