==== ๐Ÿ““ AGENDA ๐Ÿ““ =====

6:30 - 7:00pm: Arrival, Food & Refreshments

7:00pm: Talks Start

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Daniela Petruzalek - Who Tests The Tests?
Testing is a cornerstone of modern software engineering: whether you write tests before or after coding , no serious workplace should tolerate code without tests. But how can we ensure that we are writing good tests? Are we really testing the code or just producing fake test coverage? To answer this question, we are going to explore the concept of mutation tests and how they can be used to validate the tests that we write. In this talk you will learn what a mutation test is and one possible implementation in Go with the help of the AST package and a bit of compiler magic.

๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Dawid Lachowicz - Const generics in Go - contributing to the language
Dawid will share his journey of implementing a feature (const generics) into the Go language - from the design phase (including formalisations), to the proposal and the compiler implementation. Dawid would love to share what goes on behind the curtains when a new language feature is added.

~8:30 - 9:00pm: Closing and Head to the Pub

==== ๐Ÿ’ก PRIORITY QUEUE ๐Ÿ’ก =====

We now reserve 20% of the attendee spots at our events for those who are underrepresented in tech.
If they join the waitlist and there is a reserved spot open they will be bumped into going!
These spots are reversed until the last Sunday before the event.

How do we define underrepresented? We use public surveys done by the tech community such as the ones linked below.
