Execute Selenium Tests in Docker
Selenium grid assists with running automated tests in different operating systems and on different browsers. UI tests could be expensive to setup so we need virtual machines with all the dependencies however sometimes virtual machines consume a lot of memory and leads to problems such as hanging browser sessions or slower test execution. That’s why an easy solution to run UI tests is Dockers containers.
About the speaker
Sachin Shinde is an experienced software test engineer delivering the highest quality products. He is ISTQB and CSTE certified tester. He has experience of working with various test automation tools such as Selenium, QTP, Cypress. He achieved his PSM (Professional Scrum Master) certification in 2020. Sachin has worked on programming languages like Java, Javascript, Vbscript.
He worked in Glasgow, Scotland for past 4 years and currently living in Pune, India. In his free time he enjoys playing friendly competitive tennis.
What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself?
A few weeks ago, as part of his regular 121s with the team, Pedro Lopez decided to ask them the question ”What advice would you give to a younger version of yourself trying to get to where you are in half the time?” and the results were pretty amazing.
