Winna Bridgewater has dreaded goals conversations in the past -- with her manager or on her own. This talk will cover why she changed her mind.
She'll talk about how you can start thinking about possible career goals, how you can begin to articulate your ideas, and how to turn some ideas into concrete plans using a simple growing/scaling framework. This is not a technical talk, and actually the framework can be used for anything you want to get done but aren't sure how.
About the speakers
Winna Bridgewater is a software engineering manager with VMware, formerly Pivotal, where she's been for more than five years. She's a designer turned coder turned people-and-team guider. She likes thinking about what makes teams that feel safe and balanced, and she tends to ask people a lot of questions.
