Charity event: The London Homeless Project

Salaams All.
After a great success with the recent homeless project, I am adding another date to the calendar.
We may not have much money or cant afford to donate as we would like in order to help people in our local community; but what we do have is time, energy and inclination to make a difference, however small this may be.
There are many people or areas where help is required around London; this could be from helping a elderly neighbour with their weekly shop, visiting someone in hospital, painting over graffiti for a small local project or a larger project where we can work together with other voluntary groups with the regular scheme to help feed the homeless in London.
Come and join me and meet some of the other volunteers who have really been generous in spending their precious weekends to make a HUGE difference to someone’s life; not only will you help feed the homeless, you will also network with other volunteers; you may also have a charity of your own and would like assistance with it etc.
The next meet up is at Lincoln's Inn Field in London (behind Holborn tube station) on Sunday 19th February 2012 at 6pm (outside the park at the corner nearest the entrance to LSE). Or you can meet me at 5.45pm outside Holborn tube station and we can make our way down together.
Apart from the food and toiletries, if you have any sleeping bags, bedding, coats, jackets, any warm clothing- socks, shoes, jeans, trainers, gloves, hats etc mostly men’s clothing. Please bring them with you.
The whole event usually lasts for 2 hours but here is no time limit on how long you should stay. You can volunteer to do as little or as much as you would like. It’s entirely up to you.
This event is open to everyone, regardless of religion, race, class or anything else- Spread the word around . LETS UNITE TOGETHER. :-)
