Since high-school where I discovered philosophy, I was always interested in it, but unfortunately didn't study it aferwards and even though I try to read a book on my own every know and then, I am afraid I am rather stuck in the same level I had back then. I don't think philosophy is something dead and dusty to be studied alone: I see it as a way to (a) get a better grasp of the world we are living in and of the Human beings in it, and (b) a very living thing indeed that is to be shared. There this asian proverb (I think it's from Confucius) saying:" if I have an object and you have an object and we exchange them, then we still have one object each. But if I have an idea and you have an idea and we exchange them, then we have two ideas each." Well, trading ideas and getting mentaly richer is exactly what I am looking for in your Club!
I am 23 years old and just moved to London, from France where I grew up. I am a student in drama and would like to get into one of London's excellent schools.
