The highly-anticipated Sony World Photography Awards exhibition returns to Somerset House this Spring. Uncover remarkable images from the past year and delve into powerful, universal stories - both big and small - from across the globe. Reignite your fascination with our planet through the unique perspectives of award-winning photographers and discover different cultures, traditions and current topics that are bound to spark conversations long after you leave the exhibition.

WHAT YOU WILL SEE
Discover what lies beyond the lens and be captivated by the full spectrum of photography: from wildlife and nature to architecture and design, documentary projects to sport, portraiture to still life and everything in between. Immerse yourself in this visual medium through photographs that are printed, projected and presented digitally, and explore a myriad of diverse topics from the world’s leading competition for photography.

Be one of the first to view previously unseen works by the 2024 Photographer of the Year Juliette Pavy. The special curation showcases two projects that explore humanity's impact on the environment – from shadowing scientists in the Mediterranean Sea to following the lives of Inuits affected by the increasing mercury levels.

Get to know the powerful body of work by the acclaimed photographer Susan Meiselas and expand your understanding of documentary photography through her insightful portrayals of people in their communities. Explore excerpts from five of her projects, some never exhibited before in the UK. Meiselas is the 18th recipient of the Sony World Photography Awards Outstanding Contribution to Photography, an award that honours a person or group that has made a significant impact on the photographic medium.
