Welcome back!

As before, the event will be brought to you by Datacove. We are a Data and Analytics Consultancy Team based in Brighton, with experience in founding many well-attended R & Python events. Plus, home of the EARL Conference! We work across multiple streams - from marketing and customer analytics, to bespoke dashboards, process automation, and training! :)

We will be supported by the generous team at Incubeta. Hosted by Abbie Brookes and Jeremy Horne from Datacove.

------ Talk One ------
We’re delighted to welcome Robert Grant, Chartered Statistician at Bayescamp, who will be giving a talk titled:
"Supporting Policy and Decisions with Bayesian Meta-Analysis of Existing Studies"
Robert will explore how Bayesian meta-analysis can help combine evidence from multiple studies, even when faced with inconsistencies or missing data. He’ll give an overview of Bayesian models, introduce practical R tools (including Stan and JAGS), and share how these methods can improve policy and decision-making.

Our second talk is from Elizabeth Brown, Data Scientist at Branding Science, who will be giving a talk titled: "Tracking Carbon Emissions Produced from Data Science Work using R"
Elizabeth will discuss the importance of tracking carbon emissions produced from Data Science work, including AI, to help your business's sustainability efforts and to make a positive impact on the climate. She will cover how to harness emissions data from cloud providers in R to track and understand emissions, as well as ways to mitigate these. Elizabeth will also highlight different R packages for emissions analysis and for calculating carbon-equivalent emissions.
