π₯Ύ Hike Details
Distance & Grade: Approx. 19.8km| Easy to Moderate Mostly unpaved varied pond, river trails. Some gentle inclines or uneven ground.
Pace: 4β5 km/hour with a few mindful pauses along the way
Break: Stop at a pub, or picnic if you bring your lunch approx. 1 hour Includes access to toilet facilities π»
The walk begins at a serene picturesque spot in Fleet pond Nature Reserve teeming with wildlife. From the ponds we will join the canal passing through a tranquil landscape of trees and open waters before having a break for lunch.
We will continue along the path to the historic Blacksmithβs Bridge and crossing Tundry Pond, before we head back following Basingstoke Canal Towpath.

If you are not able to attend, please cancel in good time. Frequent No-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours) affect members on the waiting list and may impact future participation.
π Attendance matters
The organiser or event host reserves the right to prioritise members who are punctual, consistent, and show genuine interest in the groupβs purpose
π No entitlement
Joining from the waitlist or arriving without an RSVP is not acceptable. Please honour group etiquette, arrive on time, and understand that space is limited. βPlus-oneβ or βGuestβ attendance is
not permitted unless you have obtained prior permission from the event host.
π Maintain group harmony
This is a group for wellbeing, not for debate, heated arguments, or emotionally charged exchanges.
Please respect othersβ personal space and boundaries, avoid criticism or judgment, and help maintain a calm, peaceful atmosphere throughout the event.
π Be mindful of group pace
Please try to stay aware of the groupβs rhythm and pace, avoid walking too far ahead or behind. Coordinating with others helps keep the hike smooth and enjoyable for everyone.
π No smoking or vaping during the walk
To support a clean and fresh group atmosphere, intoxicants, recreational drugs, smoking, and
vaping are not permitted during the walk itself. Smoking can also pose a fire risk in dry conditions during the summer months.
