Grab your kayaks and let's go before the water gets so low we're dragging our kayaks thru the riverbed! LOL
Meet us at the Guadalupe Canoe Livery and you can either rent a kayak ($35) or canoe ($55) or you can bring yours and they will take you & your kayak to Nichols landing for $25. Bring a hat, sunscreen, snack, water, reusable container, etc Park your cars/trucks at the Livery. They'll shuttle us over to Nichol's Landing and we'll float back down to the Livery. We'll discuss a place to go have lunch after the adventure is over. They accept cash or Debit cards.
INFO: Established in 1971, Guadalupe Canoe Livery is committed to your safe and enjoyable river experience. Campgrounds dating back to the 1930's. We offer six canoe, kayak, raft, or tube trips on the Upper Guadalupe River above Canyon Lake from Nichol's Landing to the 311 bridge.
They are not under any of the New Braunfels restrictions. Enjoy floating the Beautiful Upper Guadalupe River as it twists and turns through private property and the Guadalupe River State Park. This 23-mile stretch of river has several Class I & II rapids and waterfalls.
The Upper Guadalupe River above Canyon Lake is about 15 degrees warmer than the River below, which gets its water released from the bottom of the dam. We have Jackson Riviera kayaks, Hyside rafts, and high-grade tubes that come with or without a bottom. Come on a whim, first come first serve.
NOTE: Your participation in this group event means you are aware of the dangers and assume the risk and liability for yourself and recognize that Meetup and Lone Star Hosts are not liable. Some of the risks include but are not limited to; other kayaker who may bump into you and cause you to flip over, trees and other debris that you may hit and cause you to flip over. Please bring your own water, sunscreen, hat, picnic lunch in a drybag, etc.
Every boat must have a lifejacket. If you rent, they will provide you with one. If you are bringing a kayak, please bring a lifejacket.
NOTE: Blowup Kayaks do not work well in the rapids & are not recommended!
