Peters Canyon Regional Park (8548 E Canyon View Ave. Orange, CA) offers a unique blend of native habitat and man's influence on the land. The park encompasses 340 acres of coastal sage scrub, riparian, freshwater marsh and grassland habitats. The 55-acre Upper Peters Canyon Reservoir is home to many resident and migrating waterfowl. black willows, sycamores and cottonwoods line the lake and Peters Canyon Creek which meanders through the canyon.
We'll meet in the parking lot and walk the moderate, 6+ mile loop together - and join up after to dine at Wise Guys Pizzeria 7606 E. Chapman Ave.
Orange, CA. Meet there after the Hike @ about 12:45 pm.
