What we’re about

If you're a dad of a kid under 12 and have been looking for others sharing the same journey, this group is for you. There are many groups for moms that give them the opportunity to bond, vent, listen, learn, and be in the community of other moms, but the same hasn't been true for dads -- until now.

This group is not about grabbing a beer and talking light-heartedly about sports. We can do that, but the real purpose is to get deeper, to share what's really happening in your experience of parenting: the worries, the fears, the struggles with discipline, navigating the school system, or understanding your child's needs. It's also about celebrating the triumphs: that your kid reached a new milestone, or had a great week at school, or said something hilarious.

Each meeting, we'll go around, share a bit about ourself and our family, and give a high and low of the week. Once we hear what's going on with everyone, we'll go around again and talk about any topics or issues that stand out. Advice giving is fine, but it's more about experience sharing, listening, and relating about these moments that we all, as dads, understand.

There is no charge whatsoever to be in this group. It's just about community. Members should be thoughtful, open, and good listeners. Looking forward to meeting you all!
