Come join us this month where we will be digging into the world of AWS Lambda functions, the API Gateway, DynamoDB and the Serverless framework!

We will stand up a lambda function with an API gateway endpoint in order to have a brief chat with our Dynamo database. All of our infrastructure will live in a single, easy to read and understand .yml file using the Serverless framework.

There will be a brief intro to what we are working with and how this differs from building a RESTful API on a server, the upsides and downsides, application scalability, code maintainability, how to test, how to deploy and what this could look like in a production setting!

Food and beverages will not be provided but there are plenty of great places to eat within walking distance. You are also welcome to bring food with you.
LaunchPad is located in downtown Huntington.

There is usually plenty of free parking in the rear parking lot as well as rear access to the building. Look for a glass door with the LaunchPad sign next to the Bon Bons Chocolatier and take the elevator up to the second floor.

If the front door is locked, please go to the rear door as it should always be unlocked. If you are still not able to get in, please call or text 631-432-4309.
