LIL Trail 88: Mermaid Day Trail

Meeting place/chalk talk will likely be on the beach, or the boardwalk, look for the On-On Flag &/or yell R U to find the pack.

The event start time is when the parade occurs.

Pack will likely be away at 3pm-ish.

All run from Atlantic Terminal/Barclays Center.

If you choose to drive please take note that free parking is very, very, scarce.

This meet-up is intended to help reach out to new members. Don't let the low numbers of people who RSVP on this site fool you: there are generally 15 to 30 hashers at every event. More for special events. Sometimes as many as 100 at things like the Red Dress R*n.

The way a hash generally works is everyone meets at a bar (the pre-lube), then runs around following arrows, checks, and other mysterious marks, sometimes stopping to enjoy an adult beverage, in an attempt to find a different bar (the on-in). The hare (the person who sets the trail) will transport your bag with your nice, clean, non-sweaty clothes from the pre-lube to the on-in. At the on-in, the hare has arranged for a good drink deal and food (often pizza). You pay the hare $20 hash cash in order to enjoy said food and drink and relax with your new friends. Do this enough and you'll get a fun name.
