What we’re about
This is a a group for people who live and work In Long Island and the surrounding area, but who recognize we are in one of the greatest metropolitan areas in the world. It's for people who are creatures of the city, with all its diversity, possibilities, opportunities, and excitement. To be sure, we will make excursions into the city--and that includes Queens and Brooklyn as well as Manhattan...and let's not forget the Bronx and Staten Island as well. However, we will get together here on Long Island too, in the interest of promoting convenience and encouraging inclusion by people whose budgets may not allow them to take trips to the city as frequently as they'd like. The point of this group is as much to allow meeting, forming friendships, and having fellowship with others whose hearts belong in the city, as it is to take trips into the city for all that it offers.
Some of the event types we offer are : Speed dating, Museums, bowling, pool, golf, bingo, shows, rock climbing, mingles and more. Some events are associated with Weekenddating and others are soc123, while others are not.

How else is it similar/different from Traditional Speed Dating
One on One dates:
We will break participants into pairs of two, just like we do with traditional speed dating. You will get to speak to each dates for a specified amount of time (typically 4-6 minutes). After the specified number of minutes, the guys will rotate to the next date and the process continues.
Just like with traditional speed dating, at the end of the event you will be able to let us know who you were interested in. We will send you both mutual matches (you picked them and they picked you) as well as one way matches (they picked you but you did not pick them).
You are given 20 minutes from the end of the event to let us know who you are interested in and will receive the results the same night (usually within one hour) or the next morning. You will not have to wait 24 hours or more to get your results.

How many potential dates will be there?
The minimum number of potential dates will be 5 and the maximum will be about 15. If for any reason there were less than 5 members of the opposite sex in attendance, you would get credit for a future Virtual event.

Joining the event is easy and convenient as you can participate from the comfort and safety of your own home using either a computer with a webcam or a smartphone, iPad, or tablet.
ABOUT
Our in-person Trivia events have always been a hit, attracting a large number of enthusiastic participants. Now, we have developed an innovative system that allows you to enjoy these events without leaving your home.
HOW IT WORKS
This event takes place entirely on zoom. You will be able to see and hear the other participants as you play along. Moreover, you'll have the opportunity to meet and interact with other trivia enthusiasts.
When the game begins, the host will ask a series of trivia questions. Your objective is to come up with the correct answers and jot them down on your paper. Once a round is complete (typically consisting of around 6 questions), we will go through the answers and determine the participant with the highest score for that round. The winner will receive a raffle ticket, giving them a chance to win exciting prizes at the end of the event.
Prizes may include Amazon Gift Cards, free entry to future events, and other exciting goodies.
Throughout the event, we will have multiple rounds of play and a virtual system in place to introduce you to other participants.
