Long Now Toronto

Long Now Toronto gains its inspiration from The Long Now Foundation founded in San Francisco in 01996 (www.longnow.org). As stated on their website: Long Now was established "to develop the Clock and Library projects, as well as to become the seed of a very long-term cultural institution. The Long Now Foundation hopes to provide a counterpoint to today's accelerating culture and help make long-term thinking more common. We hope to foster responsibility in the framework of the next 10,000 years.

This Long Now Toronto Meetup is not officially affiliated with the Foundation, we just think they are awesome, and we hope to bring some of that awesomeness here. Join us in conversation and thought as we explore the undiscovered country - the dark mountain - the future - the long now - and our collective responsibility as good ancestors.
