*Difficulty Level: 2.5 out of 5
*Not sure if this level is right for you? This hike has many "drop out" points where you can leave via bus, MTR or taxi should the need arise.

Distance: 17 km

Time: 5 hours

Description: This hike is rated a 2.5 out of 5. It starts at the HKU MTR station and meanders up and around The Peak. This section of the trail has an initial climb (about 400 m) which then levels off for a few kilometers before it starts to go back down. It is fully forested and the trail is paved. The next section of the trail will have us walking to the Ocean Park MTR Station where the trail is fully paved. The final section of the trail is the best part. We'll walk along one of Hong Kong's most beautiful promenades that passes through a couple of beaches lined with cafes and restaurants. If you like some variety...this hike is for you.

Some highlights: This hike has a varied pathway that is both paved and a natural surface. Along the way we'll be immersed in beautiful forests, walk alongside the Aberdeen Reservoir, see panoramic views, and walk along one of Hong Kong's most scenic promenades. If you're a beach lover, foodie, and you love nature...you don't want to miss out on this hike.
