Description:
Get ready for an exciting outdoor adventure! We’ll kick off our hike at Kadoori Farm and make our way to the stunning Tai To Yan, reaching a summit of 553 meters over a thrilling 13 km trek. After we conquer the hike, we’ll visit the fascinating Nepalese Hindu Temple nestled in the backyard of the Queen’s Hill public housing estate in Fanling. This unique spot, known as Burma Lines, was once a British army barrack and features a remarkable temple dedicated to Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction.
Though the temple has been closed since 1996, it’s still a sight to behold, with its striking hexagonal design resembling a lotus flower. Inside, the vibrant deep blue and red walls create a captivating atmosphere. Join us for a day of adventure, nature, and a touch of history—you won’t want to miss it!

What to bring:
- 3-4 liters of water (no exceptions)
- Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc) (no exceptions)
- Hiking shoes with good support
- Sunglasses
- Headgear (cap/hat)
- Sunscreen
- Bug Spray
- In case of Rain: plan accordingly
Toilets: I do not know if there are any along the way. You might need to get creative : )
Stores: It is best to come prepared with food and water.
Meeting Point: Tai Wo MTR - Exit A. Once everyone arrives, we'll board bus #64 or #25K to Kadoori Farms.
Time: 9:00 am (SHARP!)
IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 9:05 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give me time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
