The 6-kilometer hike offers a delightful journey through dense forests, where you'll encounter a rich variety of plant life, including bamboo groves, ferns, and towering trees. While the trail is well-marked, be prepared for some steep sections and rocky terrain that require caution. Along the way, you'll be treated to the awe-inspiring sight of four distinct waterfalls: Bottom Falls, Middle Falls, Main Falls, and Scatter Falls. Each waterfall provides a refreshing oasis for hikers to rest and cool off in the crystal-clear waters. The majestic Main Falls, standing at approximately 30 meters in height, is particularly breathtaking. Ng Tung Chai Waterfall is a must-visit destination for those seeking a peaceful escape from Hong Kong's city life, offering a memorable experience amidst stunning natural scenery.

What to bring:

• 3+ liters of water
• Snacks to eat along the way (sandwich, fruits, nuts, etc)
• Hiking shoes with good support and grip
• Gloves (in case we need to scramble)
• Sunglasses
• Headgear (cap/hat)
• Sunscreen
• Bug Spray
• Swimsuit, towel, watershoes (if you plan to get wet)

In case of Rain: In case of rain, we will reschedule the hike for another day. This trail is quite dangerous and very slippery in wet conditions.

Toilets: There are toilets at the MTR Station.

Stores: There are stores at the MTR Station only, not on the hiking route. It is best to come prepared with water and snacks.

Meeting Point: From MTR Tai Po Market Station - Exit B, we will take bus 64K or 25K to Yuen Long. We'll alight at the Ng Tung Chai stop and follow the signs to the falls, and past the monastery to the crossroads.

Time: 10:00 am (SHARP!)

IMPORTANT: Out of respect to the members that arrive on time, we will only be able to wait a maximum of 5 minutes. Should you arrive after 10:05 am, I will no longer be answering phone calls or responding to messages as I need to give me time and attention to those that have arrived on time.
