Hike: Olympic Trail and Silvermine Waterfall

Details
Hike: Olympic Trail and Silvermine Waterfall
Difficulty Level: 3 out of 5
Distance: 10.5 km (approximate)
Time: 5 hours (approximate)
Description: I’ve found a new trail I haven’t explored before — the Olympic Trail — and I’d love to hike it together if you're up for a relaxed adventure with a bit of a challenge.
The trail starts at sea level near Tung Chung, climbs to about 180 meters, and then descends back down to Mui Wo. It’s a point-to-point hike, offering a nice mix of paved and natural terrain, mostly flat with a few gentle inclines and one steeper section near the end.
We’ll pass by historic villages, Silvermine Cave (sealed off), and the scenic Silvermine Waterfall. If time allows, there might be a chance to swim at the falls, so feel free to bring a swimsuit and water shoes.
Let me know if you're keen to join — it’ll be a great way to explore something new together!
What to bring:

- In case of Rain: plan accordingly
- Swimsuit (optional)
- Aquashoes (optional)

Toilets: There are some toilets along the way, though I’m not sure of their condition — best to come prepared and with an open mind.
