Entry to Human Anatomy: A Foundational Workshop

Join us for an engaging and practical workshop on Human Anatomy for Artists at Longmont Public Media on November 20th. This session is specifically designed to equip artists with fundamental concepts for accurately depicting the human form in their work. Led by experienced instructor Rob Birt, the workshop will delve into essential topics such as blocking, proportions, and visualization techniques.
Drawing references from resources like Anatomy for Sculptors, participants will study basic concepts for the underlying structure and mechanics of the human body. Rob Birt will provide helpful suggestions and methods, guiding attendees through beginning concepts that are crucial for both drawing and incorporating human anatomy into various artistic endeavors. In this hands-on session we will be doing several studies and encourage active participation, so please bring your sketchpads and preferred drawing materials. Whether you're a beginner looking to establish a strong foundation or an experienced artist seeking to refine your anatomical understanding, this workshop offers practical tools and techniques to enhance your artistic practice. Due to the copyright restrictions on the material, we will not be offering a handout on the session, so please be ready to take notes if interested.
