From Harvest to Bottle: Nocino Crafting Experience

Details
Introducing a Longview Farm crafting workshop series! Led by Ricky Eller and Leah Harper. Join us this summer for a hands-on experience where we make Black Walnut Liqueur - or "nocino" as it is traditionally called in Italy - from scratch! Nocino is a digestif typically enjoyed after meals. It has a rich, dark color, complex flavor profile, and deep cultural heritage, often described as bittersweet with hints of spices and citrus.
"While we may be new to making nocino, we've done extensive research to provide an engaging experience. Together, we'll harvest black walnuts right here at the farm, prepare the mixture, taste and bottle our own artisanal nocino. Plus, we'll explore the history behind this beverage. Let's create something special together!"
"From Harvest to Bottle" is a 3-part series taking place over the course of 7 months:
- Workshop 1 | Harvesting and Preparation | June 22nd
- Workshop 2 | Straining and Sweetening | July 27th
- Workshop 3 | Bottling and Festive Celebration | December 21st
All ingredients, including bottling materials, are included in the ticket price (1 ticket applies to all 3 workshops). Just bring yourself and some lunch for an afternoon picnic! In December, each participant will leave with three 8oz bottles of nocino.
