Welcome to the Look Up Solar Eclipse Meet!

Look Up Ldn is a stargazing collective for POC and allies.

Join us at the Parliament Hill Viewpoint for a spectacular viewing experience of the solar eclipse. We will be meeting at 10am on 29/03/25 at Hampstead Heath Overground Station before making our way to the viewpoint.

Whether you're a seasoned astronomer or just someone who appreciates the beauty of nature, this group is for everyone. This a space where POC & allies get to reconnect with all things greater than ourselves.

We respectfully ask that allies accompany a POC friend to maintain the balance of the group.

To view a solar eclipse, you must wear accredited solar eclipse glasses. Please be very careful with your eyesight. We will be bringing some glasses to share with those who don't have their own.

The weather is predicted to be mildly cloudy. If the skies are too poor for viewing, we will reconvene at The Garden Gate Pub & watch the Royal Observatory's live stream.

Q: Oh no, its sold out :(
A: That's ok, we still welcome you to attend. Get a ticket through Eventbrite to let us know you're coming.

Q: Do I need to bring anything?
A: No, just yourself and solar viewing glasses if you have them. Parliament Hill can be a bit muddy, so we recommend sturdy footwear.

Q: Do I need to know anything about space?
A: No, Look Up Ldn is just about enjoying the sky. We are a new group, and many of our members haven't tried stargazing before.

Q: Can I come alone?
A: Yes! Look Up Ldn is the perfect place to make new friends, and many people come alone. We know that not everyone will have friends who are into the same hobbies, so this is the perfect space to find some!

Q: Can I bring friends?
A: Yes! Please do. We kindly ask that allies accompany a POC friend to maintain the balance of the group. Booking through MeetUp helps us manage expectations of how many people will attend, but it's fine if someone extra joins on the day.
