EcoGrief, EcoLove, EcoAction - A Day-long workshop/community gathering

Details
Ecogrief, Ecolove, Ecoaction
The global nature of biosphere collapse and the complex dynamics involved is overwhelming. Anxiety, emotional numbing, and paralysis are common and can lead to despair or nihilism. We need more active midwives who can bring in the new world and are preparing emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Educating ourselves and developing relationships of mutual support and collective action are small but powerful shifts we can make in confronting and caring for our future.
This day will be an active immersion into “thinking globally and acting locally”…..locally in our own body-mind, locally in our own community, and locally on land that is ours to tend. Through readings, dialogue, ritual, direct connection with the earth, and other tools, we will:
* Update our knowledge about our global situation
* Explore and acknowledge what is being lost
* Participate in a grief circle
* Build our “presencing” skills to regulate our nervous systems
* Learn about some of the transformations happening in the world of regenerative farming and other “post-doom” frameworks for carrying on in a changing environment
* Develop our “purposing” skills by clarifying our values and building a personal vision for how to engage effectively with planetary stewardship
* Cultivate a philosophical/spiritual outlook that can sustain us through the challenges ahead.
* Strengthen and expand our community of “love-in-action.”
Join us for an inspiring afternoon and evening on a beautiful farm just outside of Portland.

Your guides:
Gabriella Cordova, small farmer and regenerative farming activist, and commune member. Gabriella believes there may still be time to turn it all around, but even if we can't, we’ll be better off taking the necessary steps. She also believes we can and must have fun trying. As one of the farm, forest, and river stewards, Gabriella feels an unbreakable bond with the land in her care. She hopes you too will fall in love with this sacred piece of the earth.
Gwenn Cody, MSW, therapist, psycho-spiritual guide, and sexuality educator. Gwenn was given a strong vision of being a planetary hospice worker in 2009. Since then, her orientation has shifted to being a doula in the transitions ahead, helping people find acceptance of our current situation as a foundation for living fully now and participating in creating whatever might come next.
