Do you want more excitement in your life? Are you looking to make new friends and do fun stuff? Join us! The great thing about this group, and the reason for our success, is we encourage our members to actively plan events! Members who have attended at least 1 event are welcome to post an event of their own as long as it doesn't conflict with any of our group policies. Just contact Nick to get set up with event hosting access.
Please also note that writing people on meetup whom you haven't met is against our policies. Meetup is for meeting people in person at events. Anyone found sending unsolicited messages will be removed from the group. Please inform Nick immediately if somebody you haven't met has sent you as message or if you have received a message that makes you uncomfortable. We would like to do everything in our power to make meetup a fun and safe space for everybody. If you don’t like showing your photo or video in our meetup or website, contact Nick to remove it.
What about our group name? The first thing that comes to many people's minds when they see "Extremely Shy- Looking for Friends" is: Do I have to be extremely shy to join this group? NO: People of all levels of extroversion and introversion can be found in our group. Many of our members are not shy, and many more have largely overcome their shyness since joining our group. That being said, I know what it's like to be very shy and i know that signing up for your first meetup event can be scary and intimidating. Part of what this group is about is making that first step as easy for you as possible. Shyness is not something that anyone here will judge you poorly for. And if there's anything we can do to make it easier for you to attend your first event then please let me know by sending Nick a message.
Please note that although members aged 19 and over are welcome to join, our member base is primarily in their 20s, 30s, and some in their early 40s and many of our events designed to cater to these demographics.

- Best direction: Counter-clockwise only (bike one-way rule)
- Time needed: 1–1.5 hours with photo stops
- Speed limit: 15 km/h, gentle flat terrain, easy for all levels
- Opening: 24 hours, best ride time: sunrise to early evening
Begin at Stanley Park main entrance near Georgia Street. Rent bikes nearby if needed, then head straight to the seawall cycling lane.
- Coal Harbour Section Glide past luxury yachts, floatplanes and downtown Vancouver skyline views.
- Totem Poles Stop Pause to admire iconic First Nations totem poles with rich local culture vibes.
- Nine O’Clock Gun Pass the famous historical cannon overlooking the bay.
- Lions Gate Bridge Viewpoint Capture classic shots of the grand bridge and North Shore snow-capped mountains.
- Siwash Rock Sight the well-known ocean-side stone landmark along the coast.
- Third Beach & Second Beach Relax at quiet sandy shores, feel fresh sea breeze and calm ocean scenery.
- Lost Lagoon Cycle around peaceful freshwater lagoon surrounded by dense forest.
- Back to Start Finish the full scenic loop and return to the park main gate.

Beach Volleyball All level Learn and Play With Host Masod

If you never play before but want to, no worry, you can learn basic skills over here. All the equipment is prepared. This event is for come to meet new friends, improve your volleyball skill and build your team. Only 20 spots
- People will learn basic skills and rules from Our Host Masod this week in the first hour.
- In the next hour, we will be divided into the different teams to play on the court.
- People who purchase the summer pass will be put into the same team, play with your same team players and build your team.

Slocan Park (Next to 29th Ave Skytrain Station), E 29th Ave at Slocan St, Vancouver, BC, CAWanting to try something new or an experienced player? Are you new to the area or any community in general? Wanting to make new friends? Come and try out Ultimate Frisbee!
Located in Slocan Park (right outside of 29th Avenue Station) come and enjoy a free, drop-in ultimate frisbee pick up game.
All genders and all skills level are welcome! It’s outdoor, mostly in grass field (unless noted on IG social page/group chat otherwise).
If you do not know how to play, there will be a class and incredible, talented group of people that can teach you :)
What to bring and Good to knows;
- Please bring both Light/Dark active top to determine team play.
- Water, hat, sun screen, visor-sunglasses etc.
- Cleats are a must! Otherwise runners.
- It’s rain or shine.
- Average turn outs for the event are about 20-30 people!
- You can leave your belongings on the side of the field with everybody else which is mostly secured at all times.
- Please contact host, email or DM on IG page (Handle; SlocanCrew) if anything was left behind.
