The Hastain Trail in Franklin Canyon Park offers a moderately challenging hike with beautiful views. It's a 2.3-mile round trip, primarily on a fire road, that climbs through chaparral-covered slopes. The trail culminates in an overlook with panoramic views of the canyon, West Los Angeles, and the Pacific Ocean on clear days. From the viewpoint, the trail descends to a single-track path leading to the lawn at the Ranch Area
