Tuesdays at the Berghoff: Because Sobriety is for Mondays

Once we were legends.

Every Tuesday after work, a swarm of Loop-dwelling humans shed their blazers, loosened their ties, swapped heels for sneakers (or, let’s be honest, just stopped pretending), and made a holy pilgrimage to the Berghoff. We called it “happy hour,” but let’s not kid ourselves: this was group therapy with better lighting, colder beer, and stiffer martinis.

We laughed. We drank. We bonded over nonsense. We called off sick on Wednesdays.

And then... COVID happened. Offices emptied. Pants became optional. And our beloved tradition -- Tuesdays at the Berghoff -- slipped into that big social coma we call “Zoom fatigue.”

But it’s 2025, dammit. And we’re back. Pandemic? Never heard of her! Did we give up when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? HELL NO. The Loop is still standing. The Berghoff is still pouring. And we’re reviving the sacred tradition:

Grab a bar stool. Order up a fizzy lifting drink. Complain about your job. Blow out the lines. Reconnect. Recharge. Relapse.

No dues. No pressure. No small talk about AI.

Just show up. Tuesdays. After work. At the Berghoff.

We’ll be the loud table that looks like we never left.

(Technically, the "Berghoff" is still the Berghoff -- but that's the restaurant. The part that's the bar, because Chicago can't help itself, has been renamed Adams Street Brewery. Same space. Same stools. Still has beer. Just a different sign. Find us there at 17. W. Adams, Chicago.)
