Relax and Create : Loose Watercolor Painting Workshop

Join us for a delightful weekend workshop of loose watercolor painting. We shall learn to paint a variety of trees without drawing, and feel how liberating it is to follow the flow of your brush, without the limitation of binding lines. No prior drawing or painting experience required.
Experience the vibrant, transparent, enigmatic watercolours in their true free flowing form. Learn to step in into their rhythm with quick and simple tips and tricks, to create mesmerising little landscapes and convert them into little cards or bookmarks (optional). An experienced instructor will guide you through the basics of watercolor painting, helping you create beautiful and expressive artwork in a relaxed and supportive environment.

The 2-hour workshop covers the following;

1. Understanding watercolor paper, paints and brushes and their role in this free flowing, loose painting technique.
2. Learning the different formation of trees.
3. Basic techniques of watercolor painting.
4. Working on an interesting colour palette.
5. Creating a focal point.
6. Making 2-4 postcard/bookmark size landscape paintings with trees.
7. Making cards and bookmarks with your paintings (optional).
