Expert knit, crochet, and embroidery coaching. We will help you start to learn, or just bring that ongoing project you have at home, and work on it while chatting. Alternatively, you can make during the session a free, felt coaster, keychain, or eyeglass case; choose one from our ever-expanding collection of easy-to-make project kits we create for Loose Threaders. In each of these casual, neighborly sessions our goal is to make friends while we make things. Bring your coffee or tea; we bring to share each session a different type of Vitamin O (Oreos).
Adults only. Learn to knit and crochet, or bring your ongoing needlework to continue during our weekly, drop-in, free funshops.
Our knitting/crocheting coaches are expert; familiar with styles of knitting here and abroad. For each session they wear another one of their fabulous creations as inspiration.
For beginning embroiderers we have put together precut felt, free-form embroidery kits that don't require an embroidery hoop. (One free felt kit per participant per session.) We are always developing new felt project kits. Designs include felt-and-sequined: drink coasters, eyeglass cases, keyring fobs, mug rugs, front-door banners, and more. See photos.
You can drop by the Kennedy School onsite gift shop to pick up a coffee if you forgot to bring one from home. Leo the Support Dog is often in attendance. Sponsored by the Concordia Neighborhood Association and the North Star Village
