As this is a small, family run restaurant, let's support them as they can really use the business. It was heartwarming to communicate with an independent restaurant that is extremely grateful for our patronage.

Since 1997, these people from Tokyo have been serving authentic
hot and cold homemade udon and soba noodles, grilled fish, sashimi, yakitori, tempura, appetizers, and dessert.

Most of the ingredients are imported from Japan like fish, wheat for the udon and soba, seafood, etc etc.

This is a special restaurant!

Soba are buckwheat noodles and udon are thick wheat noodles. Different than the Japanese ramen noodles we are used to.

Tempura: black tiger shrimp, sea eel, vegetable, diced shrimp & scallop

Sashimi: blue fine tuna, sea urchin, halibut, Japanese squid, toro sardine, monkfish liver, octopus

Grilled fish offerings include sea eel, black cod, rock fish, Chilean sea bass, salmon, and barracuda. Their currrent selection of cool
grilled fish include:

Lightly salted overnight rock fish
Miso marinated rock fish
Miso marinated sea bass
Miso marinated black cod
Miso marinated sea beam from Japan's Mie Prefecture
Miso marinated Toro Sawara from Japan's Mie Prefecture
Lightly salted barracuda
Salted sockeye salmon
Misa marinated sockeye salmon

11 Different Yakitori

Homemade udon & also 3 different types of soba (buckwheat) noodles

Special limited appetizers (several but I am only listing one
Char-grilled prime ribeye steak with ponzu sauce on mixed greens, red radish, cucumbers, onions & tomatoes (sounds great)

Cold appetizers sound exotic with blue fin tuna, sea urchin, halibut, Japanese squid, and toro sardine sashimi.

Hot appetizers include grilled wild sea eel with wasabi and Japanese plum paste, the aforementioned grilled fish, deep fried Jidori chicken, deep fried breaded Berkshire pork cutlet or skewer, wild shrimp and vegetable and sea eel and minced diced shrimp with scallop tempure, etc.

Their dozen different rice dishes are fascinatingly diverse and come with miso soup and Japanese pickles.

When we were here before, my Jidori chicken yakitori and also in my noodle bowl was amazing. It melted in my mouth like butter and tasted super delicious.

I told my Boston family about Jidori chicken but unfortunately, it is only available in California. Check out their website and you will want in!

Beverages include 3 different Japanese beers, green tea, oollong tea, hot buckwheat tea, and soda.

Cash only in small bills please. That means not all 20's. Please have some 1 and 5 and 10 $ bills. No separate checks, no credit cards. You may not say you forgot cash and try to put the entire check on your credit card for airline mileage. Yes, we have had people try this. One even skimmed from the tip.

At least 48 hours notice if you must cancel. We have had a rash of people signing up right away, taking a spot, then canceling with at least
48 hours but with no intention of attending. You know who you are and so do I. In the past, chronic game players have been dropped from the group.

Please look at the menu on yelp. If you click on the yelp pictures link and then select menu pics, you will see multiple images of their menu.

You should probably bring a minimum of $60 to $75 to be on the safe side and more if you are ordering sashimi. Extra $$$ for appetizers, dessert, beverages, etc. Tax is about 10%. We leave a 20% tip.

If we still have room after dinner, there are some cool Japanese dessert places in Gardena on Western and Redondo Beach Blvds that have pastry, cake, candy, ice cream, mochi, boba tea, coffee drinks, and more.

The food is authentic and delicious.

Come dine with us!
