About the talk:
AI is moving from standalone models toward a connected system built on data, computing power, infrastructure, and quantum technologies. This talk looks at how AI, high-performance computing, data infrastructure, and quantum computing are converging to power next-generation smart systems across healthcare, manufacturing, agriculture, energy, cybersecurity, and sustainable cities. Prof. Chakrabarti will also share what India's growth in AI research and infrastructure can offer as a model for global collaboration.

About the speaker:
Prof. Chakrabarti's research spans AI, large language models, high-performance computing, quantum computing, computer vision, and cyber-physical systems. He has led research programs with the Government of India, Intel, IBM Quantum, AWS, HCLTech, TCS, and L&T, and held visiting appointments at Princeton, Cambridge, and CERN. He has supervised 26 PhD scholars and published 250+ papers in venues including Nature, IEEE, and ACM.
