What is Regenerative Farming? Lecture & Discussion with Farmer Nate Siemens

This is our first official event in a while! Nate Siemems is coming to the King's Roost to talk to us about regenerative farming. What exactly is it and how does it work?

Nate is a regenerative farmer who grows one of my favorite grains right here in California. He brings the grains down to us here in Los Angeles where I mill it at home to make my favorite sourdough bread. You may find examples of food grown regeneratively, but it's not obvious exactly what that is, so Nate offered to come and talk to us and spend an evening answering questions.

I'll bring some bread made with his grain for us to sample, and I'll raffle off a loaf of bread as well as some samples of Nate's California grown grains. There is a small fee to cover the speaker fee/travel expenses and light refreshments and each paid ticket is automatically gets you a raffle ticket. Feel free to bring a bottle of something to enjoy during the talk.
