Seed Bakery Tour (World of LA Bread Series)

Attention LA Bread Bakers! The next stop on LABB’s Exploring the World of LA Bread series will be Seed Bakery, the renowned artisanal bakery in Pasadena's Bungalow Heaven neighborhood, where Joseph Abrakjian, Seed’s owner and master baker (and longtime LABB member), will offer seven LABB members the rare opportunity to go behind the scenes at this working bakery. In a personally guided tour, Joseph will provide an in-depth look at his bakery’s operations, products, and approach to baking outstanding breads and pastries. A native of Lebanon, Joseph, who apprenticed at bakeries throughout the country, from Vermont to Northern California, before beginning his bakery operation in Bungalow Heaven in 2015, will discuss his methods for baking the outstanding sourdough bread, Viennoiserie, and other pastries for which Seed is well known.

The tour, which will take place on Wednesday, October 14th, at 9am, will last approximately 2 hours and include a post-tour discussion at the bakery. The first 7 LABB members who reserve a spot through the Meet-Up site and pay their $10 registration fee (plus Meet-Up service charges) will be included on the tour. The $10 fee will be refunded only to those who cancel at least 24 hours before the tour; otherwise the fee is nonrefundable. If the event is full and any spots open up, we will announce them via email.
