Is the I Ching a Viable Source of Wisdom?

Details

May's study will be conducted by Bro. Kevin Watson as he asks the question, "Is the I Ching a Viable Source of Wisdom?"

Synopsis:
The ancient Chinese I Ching (Book of Changes) promotes understanding of a situation and dispenses wisdom on how best to proceed. Wisdom is communicated by random selection of one of 64 possible hexagrams. Freemasonry also promotes Wisdom. We will learn the basic process of selecting and interpreting the hexagrams and in the process answer the question, “Is the I Ching a viable source of wisdom?”

Mission Statement:
The Masonic Philosophical Society embraces the concept of learning, not for school, but for life, and believes that all men, who seek it, deserve access to continued education. We further embrace the concept of a community environment where ideas can be shared and debated in an open forum. From the seven liberal arts to the arcane, we seek to gain and share the knowledge that is the legacy of mankind.
