"Is God Dead"

May's topic will be conducted by Bro. Kevin Watson as he asks the question, "Is God Dead?"

Synopsis:
In his 1883 book, Thus Spoke Zarathustra, Fredrich Nietzsche’s claim that “God is Dead” represents the decline of religious authority in a modern, scientific age. The decline culminated in an increasingly widespread nihilistic viewpoint across Humanity.
Nietzsche and others, including many Freemasons, were concerned about the rise of nihilism and advocated the philosophy of existentialism as a counter point. This presentation will consider the ramifications for society presented by nihilistic thought.
