Welcome to the official Meetup group for the IEEE in Los Angeles!
We support and serve Los Angeles engineering and computing professionals, and aim to create a community of members who want to learn and share their knowledge in electrical engineering, communications, computer science and related disciplines.
We welcome all interested parties to attend our programs and events, and you do not need to be an IEEE member to participate.
The Region 6, Southern Area is responsible for coordinating IEEE activities for much of Southern California. This area has a diverse technical and scientific community in industry, academia, entrepreneurship, and defense. Our objectives are the educational and technical advancement of electrical and electronic engineering, telecommunications, computer engineering and allied disciplines. We are organized as a geographic unit (Region 6, Southern Area of IEEE) and host international technical units (local Chapters of IEEE Technical Societies)
