HIKING: Caballero Canyon - Intermediate [STEEP]

Afternoon/Evening hike about 3.50 miles round trip with 1000 feet elevation gain overlooking the San Fernando Valley. Advisory: our esteemed hiking leader believes in the glorious virtues and excellency of uphill trails and recommends adopting a similar uphill-loving mentality.

This is an intermediate level hike and not for hiking beginners/novices. Expect to maintain around 3.25 miles per hour walking pace for the entire hike with one short break at the summit. We'll be power-walking uphill for about 35 minutes and then descend for the same amount of time. Group participants able and willing to accelerate further should feel free to do so.

Evacuations: serious injuries will result in the group immediately returning to the nearest trail exit
