Mount Baldy Loop Hike via Register Ridge (Ascent) & Ski Hut Trail (Descent)
Join us for a challenging and rewarding loop hike to the summit of Mount Baldy!
We'll ascend via the steep and lesser-traveled Register Ridge, then descend using the scenic Ski Hut Trail.

📍 Meeting Point:
We'll meet at Manker Flats Trailhead.
A valid Adventure Pass or equivalent parking permit is required.

🧭 Route Description:
- Ascent via Register Ridge:
This unmaintained, steep, and rugged use trail branches off the fire road near San Antonio Falls. It climbs aggressively along the ridge with exposed sections and limited shade. While challenging, it offers incredible views, solitude, and a direct route to Mount Baldy's summit. - Descent via Ski Hut Trail:
We'll loop down using the well-maintained Baldy Bowl Trail (commonly known as the Ski Hut Trail). This trail winds through forests and open bowl areas, passing by the historic green Ski Hut and eventually reconnecting with the fire road back to Manker Flats.

🎒 What to Bring:
- At least 3 liters of water
- Trekking poles (strongly recommended for both ascent and descent)
- Snacks and lunch
- Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
- Layered clothing (weather can shift quickly at elevation)
- Good hiking shoes with grip
